NUTN Launches Career Pathways for International Students with Internship Program

National University of Tainan (NUTN) has opened a new avenue for international students to pursue career opportunities in Taiwan by launching its first phase of the internship program. On February 11, the Alumni Service Center hosted the "International Student Internship Company Visit" event, which ran for five days. This program offered international students an in-depth understanding of Taiwan’s corporate environment and provided them with a chance to engage in hands-on experiences across various departments.

During the event, international students were given the opportunities to choose between two companies for their internships, enabling them to explore different industries. One of the selected companies was "WANTONG Human Resources Group," a leading human resource platform in Taiwan. Students had the opportunity to gain insights into the Taiwanese labor market, workforce demand, workplace skills, and job-seeking trends. WANTONG also encouraged students to enhance their communication and Chinese language skills, as well as to familiarize themselves with Taiwan's labor laws and employment regulations, thus increasing their competitiveness in the local job market.

The other organization visited was the nonprofit "Tainan Catholic Developmental Disabilities Center," which focuses on enhancing employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and disadvantaged groups. NUTN Alumni Association President Wu Donglin, who also serves as an advisor to the center, joined the students on this visit. The center expressed a strong desire to create more opportunities for international students to discover and leverage their talents while making a meaningful contribution.

Through this "International Student Internship Company Visit" initiative, NUTN not only helped international students gain a clearer understanding of Taiwan’s workforce needs but also provided valuable career development opportunities. Moving forward, the university plans to continue offering more career programs, internships, and apprenticeships, helping international students to build their career paths and succeed in Taiwan’s competitive job market.
