NUTN Establishes Alumni Association for International Students Staying in Taiwan

National University of Tainan (NUTN) has officially established the "New Immigrant Alumni Association," reflecting its long-term commitment to supporting international and overseas alumni. This association aims to offer comprehensive assistance to alumni who choose to stay in Taiwan, focusing on areas such as employment, entrepreneurship, and cultural adaptation. It will also serve as an important platform for networking and communication among international alumni.
The first president of the association is Liang Chun-hsia, an Indonesian alumnus from Class of 2010, Department of Education. During her time at NUTN, she acquired extensive professional knowledge in education, and after graduation, she continued her work in Taiwan, dedicating herself to promoting international cultural exchange and fostering multicultural integration. She emphasized that the New Immigrant Alumni Association not only serves as a vital bridge connecting alumni with their alma mater but also provides robust support for alumni to realize their dreams in Taiwan.
The inaugural meeting attracted active participation from alumni, faculty, students, and members of the local community. President Liang highlighted that in the future, the alumni association will organize various activities to help alumni build professional networks, share industry insights, and collaborate with NUTN in planning specialized courses and training programs, offering comprehensive support for new immigrants and international alumni in Taiwan.
NUTN President Dr. Chen Hui-ping remarked that since its founding, the university has nurtured countless talented individuals through its excellent educational quality and diverse academic environment. The establishment of the New Immigrant Alumni Association further strengthens the university’s global perspective and aims to deepen connections between alumni, fostering cooperation between the university and the international community. With the support of NUTN’s Alumni Service Center, the association will regularly hold cultural exchange activities, internships, and industry-academia cooperation projects, facilitating the integration of international students into Taiwanese society and injecting new energy into Taiwan’s multicultural development.
